Curious about how often I do what & when? Well, here you go! My hair diary. This is what I do.
You can click on the event name (ie “Dry Shampoo” or “Argan Oil”) to get details about the process I used.
I do brush my hair everyday with a regular hairbrush from a drug store. Other than that, everything I do to my hair is listed in this calender.
Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat
Before bed, I used a little dry shampoo. See the recipe here: http://thecrunchymoose.com/dry-shampoo/
Then I wrapped my hair up in a headband for headband curls. I sleep with my hair like this and wake up with curly hair.
I scritched & preened this morning with a boar bristle brush. See details on how to do that here. And it was a messy bun day.
I slept in headband curls last night.
I did a coconut oil hair mask. I used about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 2 drops each of ylang ylang & cedarwood essential oils. Because I have low porosity hair, I wrapped my hair with a hot towel heated in my clothes dryer. I reheated the towel 3 times. I left the coconut oil in my hair for about 45 minutes. I washed my hair with an egg wash. I added about 1 tablespoon of honey to the egg. See more about coconut oil hair masks here. See more about egg washes here.
I washed my hair with rye flour and some essential oils (about 2 tablespoons rye flour, 2 drops each of ylang ylang & cedarwood essential oils, and a couple tablespoons of water to form a paste). Read more about rye flour here. After my hair air dried, I scritched & preened with a boar bristle brush. See details on how to do that here.
I used a little dry shampoo today. See the recipe here: http://thecrunchymoose.com/dry-shampoo/
I used a couple drops of argan oil mixed with essential oils just on the ends of my hair. See the recipe here: http://thecrunchymoose.com/argan-oil-2/
I scritched & preened this evening with a boar bristle brush. See details on how to do that here. Then I put my hair in headband curls and left it overnight.
Took my hair out of the headband curls when I woke up.
I washed my hair with rye flour and some essential oils (about 2 tablespoons rye flour, 2 drops each of lavender & rosemary essential oils, and a couple tablespoons of water to form a paste). Read more about rye flour here.
